Before his Lenten sacrifice, Matt drank about 3 cokes a day. Minimum. That’s at least 36 ounces of delicious cola everyday. Over 40 days, that comes out to 1440 syrupy carbonated ounces flowing through my husband. So Matt got the idea to give up cokes for Lent; at once denying himself of cherished sustenance and improving his overall health.
It was tough, but Matt made it. Not a single Coke. Not one.
So we’ve come to Easter and Matt wanted a tangible measure of his accomplishment.
Given that one cubic foot is equal to 957.5 fluid ounces. Matt’s abstinence prevented the consumption of a mere 1.5 cubic feet of Coke. That’s just not much. And there I was thinking he had accomplished something. I was thinking it was at least going to be bathtub sized, but one and a half cubic feet? Wimp.
Below, watch Matt break his 40 day streak.
