One thing I love to do and never seem to have the time to do anymore is wrap presents. I love to collect old scraps of paper, patterns, tape, letters, etc. and use them to make cards, wrap presents, etc. Today while Francis was napping I finally sat down and wrapped this little gift for Matt. I wanted to give him something to remember the birth of his son who is yet to be named. I can’t wait to give it to him…he’s going to love it.
Hi.
We're Matt and Sally - and these are our little ones: Francis, George, Samuel and Scout (the dog, not pictured.)
We bought this domain name for our wedding 10 years ago and it evolved into a family blog when our oldest was only 3 months old. There have been lapses of writing here and there along the way, but we're back and hope to do better.
Matt is an attorney by day and woodworker by night. Sally is a momma, photography enthusiast, and Grammy Award winning freelance graphic designer. She designs album packaging for the Nashville music industry - having designed albums for Merle Haggard, Brooks and Dunn, Amy Grant, Blake Shelton, and Kenny Rogers to name a few. ;)
Our goal is just to live life creatively. The blog is simply a family journal. Our hope is to record as much as we can for our kids to enjoy someday. Because unfortunately, we bought the baby books, but never filled them out. Here's to hoping this makes up for that.

Drew, Amber and Megan - So what was the present?
Sally Gulde - It was a mother of pearl Case pocket knife. I’ll post a photo of it sometime. It’s really beautiful. I gave him one when we got married, on our honeymoon, for his 30th, when Francis was born, etc.
Jenn - Now see, I wouldn’t want to OPEN a present if the wrapping was that impressive. That’s way cool, though.
Speaking of using odds and ends of stuff to make other stuff, have you ever been to the shop called “It’s Your Earth” in Wheaton? Pretty crazily amazing.
