I met Jimmy in my kitchen this past Saturday night. My hubby went to the shooting range with the husbands from the Amarillo moms’ group. Jimmy is actually not a dad from the group, but rather an uncle and certainly a welcome addition. Who can resist a smile, mustache and display of tattoos like this? Not me. I knew immediately I wanted to add this guy to my list of new Amarillo friends. After a few hours of poker, we learned he’s a retired 20+ year veteran gorilla trainer from the OKC zoo, has 9 fingers (one lost from working in a saw mill), and recently got back from Africa working with AIDS patients. My instincts were right – we need to get to know Jimmy better.

Drew, Amber and Megan - Wow! Jimmy is indeed a “colorful” fellow in more ways than one! That is awesome…I want a Jimmy!
