We are at $2.75 now! When I receive great customer service, I have to tell people about it. Chicago golfers, take note. Before we left town, I had been visiting Bushwood Driving Range in Maywood, IL. I even purchased a $100 card for 12 buckets of range balls. I was three buckets into the card when a storm hit the west side of Chicago and tore down Bushwood’s boundary nets. For the next few months, they struggled to repair the nets, and were hampered by another high-wind storm. I called today and explained that I’d moved to Texas and wouldn’t be able to use my card. I wanted a refund, and planned on asking for a portion representing what I hadn’t used. “Say no more,” the owner said, and promptly offered a full $100 reimbursement. He refused to deduct the buckets I’d already used, and apologized sincerely for the downtime caused by the nets. Visit Bushwood, if not for their devotion to customer service, then for their homage to Caddyshack. In the last 3 days, I have had my car inspected and against all odds, found my birth certificate and SS card buried in a box of moving documents. I’ve purchased Texas car insurance (which costs more than Chicago by the way?!), purchased $200 worth of car tags, and received my new temporary 6-8 week non-photo driver’s license…all just to freakin’ meet the requirements (and deadline) to vote in the state of Texas. I can now breathe a little easier knowing I have a voice in this election. Folks, in many states today is the deadline to register. Please, please take the time. Our ancestors fought for this right – especially all of my fellow women – you have no excuse… go freakin’ register! The Olson Family - Glad you all had a good time in NM.
We are safe and sound in VA after nine days traveling with the kids. Maybe we should move to Amarillo as well — free day care! Can't beat that!
